Universal Recycling Company is a scrap metal recycling and processing company located in Johannesburg, South Africa, founded by Mr A Loewenthal in 1948.

We provide processing, trading and transportation services to the ferrous and non ferrous recycling industry, operating from three yards. We source our material from a wide range of suppliers, including manufacturers, local authorities, demolition contractors and the public.

The Company are processors & recyclers of Ferrous & Non-Ferrous metals, specialising in handling “complex metals” by numerous processes including; shredding, heavy-media separation, eddy-current separation, sorting, milling, grinding , granulating, and magnetic separation.

We are committed to providing a high quality secondary raw material to the mills, refineries, and smelting industry.
